In the highlands of Scotland we find a glacial divide called Loch Ness. Persistent claims of a creature living in the depths of the Loch continue to attract researchers and tourists to the water's edge. Although the first recorded sighting of the Loch Ness (Nessie), was by St.Coloma in the year 565, recorded sightings is nearly non existent until this last century.

   Most believers of a theory regarding a monster in the Loch are convinced that it is the existence of a dinosaur called a "plesiosaur" which according to science, has been extinct for approximately 65 million years.

The theory of the plesiosaur as an ancestor to "Nessie" seem to be inconsistent with our understanding of the prehistoric creature, but claims persist that something resembling one is in the loch.
