In the Gold Country of Oregon northeast of Medford there is another location
that defies our understanding of physical laws. Originally this "House
of Mystery" began as an assay office in 1904 for a local mining operation.
Native Americans called the place "forbidden ground". The Oregon
Vortex (also known as the House of Mystery) was opened to the public in
1930. Unlike the trees in the image below, you can expect to find the trees
at the Vortex somewhat "twisted" and growing at peculiar angles.
You will find
that this "mystery spot" defies logic and leads your eyes to deceive
you. Visitors to the Mystery Spot experience the puzzling variations in
gravity, perspective, height and more.
